Well, the basic I guess: I'm 19 years old, English by accident of my birth (though I don't particularly complain, there are many worse scenarios), and currently a student of Applied Biology in Northumbria University, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, in the north-east of England. I'm still in my first year at the moment, but between september 2005 and august 2006, I went travelling in the Indo-Pacific region of the world (spending most of my time in New Zealand).
I've been into the goth subculture for about the past three years, and have no intention of giving up any time soon - I feel more at home wearing black and listening to 80's metal than anywhere else, even after travelling across the globe. I'm also a hard-line atheist who views faith (re: unquestioning belief specifically without evidence) as one of the most dangerous forces active in the world today. Despite this, the history of religion and mysticsim still fascinates me, and I take the opportunity to read into it wherever possible.
Outside of university I'm currently an assistant Storyteller for the local Camarilla UK Vampire: the Requiem LARP game. I'd heard a lot of bad stuff about Newcastle's LARPer population before coming here, but it seems like almost everyone I roleplay with at the moment has a pretty good idea of what they're doing. I've also been running the same Vampire: the Masquerade Sabbat game for the past 2 and a half years, and take the opportunity to roleplay whenever a game shows up. For the most part, Morticutor is my regular GM.
